About MPA & Enrollment
Montessori Peace Academy is a single-classroom Montessori School for children ages 3-6 years old. Children may be enrolled at any time during the school year. The child should be between 3 to 5 years of age, and fully toilet trained (no diapers or pull-ups).
One class. Two Lead Teachers
Our small size allows more time to focus on the individuals. While most schools adhere to a 1:13 teacher to student ratio, MPA sticks to 1:9. Other Montessori schools in the valley have up to 35 children in one class. Smaller class means more attention and more time for individual lessons. Montessori Peace Academy is made up of two teachers who co-lead, and one assistant teacher.
The Three Year Cycle
Montessori classrooms have multi aged groupings. The 3-6 age grouping is called Primary. Montessori Peace Academy strongly endorses a three-year program to provide the maximum benefit of the Montessori method, including the kindergarten year. Let your child experience being the youngest, middle, and eldest child of a classroom, all without the hassle of transitioning to new teachers and classrooms each year.
